Let's get you ready for your Cryptocurrencies with an exchange, wallet and some security.

A few years ago I had zero idea what Cryptocurrencies were all about. After watching some videos my husband and I decided that it was time to dip our toe in and invest some money into crypto. But, where to start?

I started by reaching out to a trusted friend that had done a little investing into Cryptocurrencies and had taken some courses.

She told me about an exchange that she liked, so I started there. Upon doing some researching my husband and I found out that not all exchanges are available in all countries, each carries slightly different types of crypto, and some give better referral deals than others. The referral deals are generally only available with a referral code from someone. Fees for purchasing/selling crypto can also vary from one to the other. Many exchanges will ask you to verify your ID for security purposes - this is something that caught me off guard at first, but most of them require this verification. Of course be careful who you give this info to - do some research on the platform before you do.

Hearing stories about people who made a bunch of money in crypto is becoming more and more common. Equally, hearing stories about people kicking themselves because they missed an opportunity that has taken off is also common.

So, here we go! Below are the deals and services I've come across in my crypto journey. I'm by no means a financial expert - I'm just sharing what I've come across. Hopefully this helps you out in your crypto journey!

EXCHANGES

It's important to use the right Exchanges to fund from "FIAT" (USD, CDN, etc.) into Cryptocurrencies. Depending on which Cryptos you want to purchase, you may find you will need to be part of a few Exchanges so you can buy various kinds of Crypto. The ones listed below are a great place to start.

Load funds into Exchanges from checking accounts, credit cards and other sources. This is the easiest way to get your funds into Cryptocurrencies. Then from the Exchange you can exchange your funds into various cryptocurrencies.

PHYSICAL WALLETS

Worried about keeping Cryptocurrencies your Crypto on an online exchange? Consider pulling it off and putting it onto a physical wallet. My research showed that LEDGER is a leader in that field and is popular with a lot of the people that I listen to for info. This is why I use LEDGER for that purpose.

SECURITY

AUTHY APP is popular for use in verification within COINBASE (and other programs). Go here to get it. Or get it through your Apple iTunes Store or Google Play store. It works on desktops or through an app on your Smartphone. You will be able to conduct all of your COIN purchases, exchanges through your Smartphone as well as online through a Tablet, Desktop, Laptop, etc.
